About the role
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Detail Inspector to join our Operations team based in our Eagle Farm, Brisbane Facility.
This position is considered to be one of the core business activity within the company and contains a number of different tasks performing visual and dimensional inspection on engines, accessories, related components, and parts to determine their condition for return to service in accordance with approved data and customer requirements..
**Other position accountabilities will include**:
- Determine and document the modification status/configuration of products being processed for repair or overhaul to verify compliance to the applicable regulatory and customer requirements.
- Determine the reparability of those products not meeting the applicable requirements.
- Record the inspection results on the appropriate inspection database.
- Collaborate with detail inspection trainees in the on-the-job training (OJT) process.
- Move between production assignments that utilise multiple skills as needed to support production requirements.
- Adherence to all Environmental Health and Safety Regulations, Business Ethics and financial controls.
- Active participation in Continuous Improvement programs and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement in processes, working practices and team efficiency..
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills or an Australian recognised Aircraft Trade qualification or at least 2 years of work experience in an engine overhaul environment.
- Knowledgeable and proficient in the proper use of precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to identify and interpret conditions on products that are the result of service operation.
- Ability to use and interpret publications used in the production process (graphs, charts, schematics, blue prints).
- Ability to use and care for precision measuring and torqueing devices.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Highly customer-focused team worker, who can demonstrate flexibility when required, be motivated and willing to take on new initiatives.
- A self-starter approach to work with excellent communication skills.
