Student Support Specialist

**About the role**

This position is responsible for the administrative and academic support of EPEC students, requiring 38 hours per week. The successful applicant can choose to work from our Gold Coast office, fully remote from home, or in a hybrid capacity, combining both in-office and remote work.

**This role would suit someone with experience in the Childcare, OSHC, and/or Education sectors who is looking to transition into an office-based, remote, or hybrid support role.**

**The duties for the role include**:

- Facilitating virtual assessment - setting up Zoom/Teams meetings; liaising with students, Assessors and Host Providers
- Providing support to a portfolio of Full-Time students - troubleshooting study issues; assisting students to access academic or wellbeing support as required
- Liaising with Host Providers in Early Childhood, Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) and school environments
- Administering training plans, and support students to ensure they complete their course of study
- Developing and implementing processes to improve student engagement
- Administering additional materials to support successful student outcomes
- Conducting virtual assessment with students across ECEC; OSHC and school environments

**About You**

**You will possess the following skills**:

- The ability to follow Online recording keeping procedures
- Digital record keeping; utilising digital platforms; Online contact with students, Assessors and Host Providers
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to build positive rapport and relationships
- Ability to work autonomously, be self-driven and demonstrate initiative
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with tight time schedules
- Positive and flexible approach to a continually changing work environment
- Possess a high attention to detail
- Excellent follow up to ensure tasks are fully completed

**The following qualifications and experiences are a requirement for the role**:
**Essential**
- Certificate or Diploma qualification in the education, School Age Care, or early childhood sectors
- Prior experience working in Early Childhood; Childcare; School Age Care or Education Support environments

**Desirable**
- Experience working in Vocational Education, or familiarity with the operation of RTO's
- Qualifications in Training and Assessment, such as the TAE40116; or skill sets in the area (or willingness to enrol)

**Remuneration will be commensurate with experience**
