Cyber threat intelligence specialist, Sydney CBD, 12 Month contract, $1000-$1200 p/d + Super

**Your new company**
This role sits within a government organisation with a head office in the heart of Sydney CBD. You will work with one of the leading agencies in government with an excellent reputation in a highly productive team. The organisation is focused on providing access to government services for customers, businesses and partner agencies.

**Your new role**
The organisation requires a Cyber Threat Intelligence Consultant to join the Cyber Security team to lead the design, development and implementation of an industry best practice cyber threat intelligence program. You will work with operational cyber security teams to uplift and grow various strategic, operational and tactical cyber intelligence outputs to ensure the Department is mitigating appropriate threats and is able to prioritise relevant detection and response capabilities. You will also utilise your knowledge of Threat Intelligence Platforms and industry taxonomies (STIX/TAXII) to engineer, design and build capabilities for collection, processing, and dissemination of threat intelligence and IOCs to internal, external and other government agency stakeholders.

**What you'll need to succeed**
As well as in in depth understanding of Cyber security you will be required to possess the following skills/experience:

- Exposure, knowledge and experience in the following frameworks and methodologies is required; NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF), MITRE ATT&CK, MITRE D3FEND and the Lockheed Martin Cyber Kill Chain
- Extensive experience in a SOC across incident response, threat intelligence and threat hunting activities
- Extensive experience in cyber threat assessments, open-source intelligence research and cyber threat reporting at the tactical, operational and strategic level
- Experience in designing and implementing technical threat and attack modelling and providing inputs to enable proactive threat hunting, detection logic and incident response playbooks
- Experience in designing, developing and managing Threat Intelligence Platforms with various industry taxonomies
- Exposure to penetration testing and vulnerability management programs with in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) and Common Vulnerable Scoring System (CVSS)
