About the position

You’ll join our friendly Facilities team, working with a group of dedicated gardeners who take pride in keeping our green spaces clean, beautiful and welcoming for commuters across the rail network - from train stations to carparks, shared user paths, Metro depots and facilities.
- Permanent, full time or part time positions available
- Monday - Friday, 7am-3.30pm
- Working at various locations across the Melbourne Metro Train Network
- Opportunity to be working outdoors and on the tools

Key Responsibilities
- Follow a weekly gardening schedule alongside a Leading Hand Gardener
- Comprehensive garden maintenance services including leaf and rubbish collection, mowing, weeding, spraying, mulching, pruning, planting and watering
- Working outdoors and on the tools while keeping track of gardening timelines
- Follow safety protocols while working near train tracks

Skills and Experience
- Experience in horticulture, gardening and/or landscaping in parks, reserves or large garden areas
- Experience in operating a range of mowers and small plant equipment
- Demonstrated organisation and time management skills
- Basic IT skills with portable devices (iPad)
- A current Full Victorian Driver’s Licence
