Associate Product Manager

Our client is a leader in the supply of high end building products into well known distribution points, both Wholesale and Retail.

We only deal in top end brands, and have a national distribution network, all operated by an extremely motivated team many of who have been with the company for many years.

**The Role**
- The role is responsible for product management of specified categories including key marketing functions such as category planning, product launches and assisting with regulatory/compliance, promotional campaigns and communications.
- Key aspects of this role to be learnt over time will be the management of product roadmap and direction, profitability tracking, product development and sourcing, product and component supply chains, inventory, and product life cycles.
- Developing an understanding of market channels to know key market drivers, competitors, and customer problems.
- Develop strong supplier relationships and manage sales and stock forecasts to achieve product budgets.

**Job tasks and responsibilities**
- Identifying gaps in the market and developing/sourcing new products to achieve growth.
- Product roadmap: Developing an understanding of documentation requirements for products and features on the product roadmap.
- Managing Product roadmaps to release new products on schedule.
- Maintain the product range plan to promote and grow your product category sales.
- Providing effective support to sales team to drive sales targets.
- Market analysis: Show an understanding or experience in market research including market trends, competitor analysis and gaps, size of market, size of opportunity
- Regulatory and Compliance: Show an understanding of working within a regulated environment, having understood and incorporated regulatory and compliance changes into products
- Pricing: Experience with creating pricing models would be ideal but not mandatory
- Documentation: Develop experience creating product documentation that is fit for the audience. E.g. internal work instructions and customer user guides
- Processes: Ability to improve review internal processes and recommend efficiency improvements
- Marketing: Work closely with the marketing to build go-to-market plans and produce marketing material

**Skill and Experience**
- Ideally some knowledge of Product Management or related experience
- Experience working on consumer brands
- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and internal business units
- Effective communication, inter-personal and prioritisation skills
- Problem solver - ability to think creatively and work collaboratively with teams to solve business challenges
- Energetic and highly outcome focussed
- Loves a fast-paced environment with day 1 mindset
- Proactive approach that focuses on successful business outcomes for the company and our clients
- ‘Can do’ attitude - ability to take ownership and lead a variety of workstreams
- Experience in delivering a variety of projects simultaneously with tight timeline pressures

In this role you will be working within a close knit marketing team of professional having a long tenure and track record within the industry.

If you have a great track record of Assisting with Product Management ( 2 to 3 years of experience) in such a role then we would like to hear from you.

Bathroom experience would be welcomed but not essential.

The business is located in the heart of Fortitude Valley in great new and modern premises, close the shopping precinct, and also walking distance to the city.

Pay: $77,000.00 - $99,000.00 per year
