**The Role**

The Environment and Sustainability Advisor’s role is to support the Environment and Sustainability team in delivering AMG’s sustainability strategy across their two key geographical locations in Sydney. The role is responsible for ensuring environmental and conservation compliance for development, maintenance and operational activities undertaken by AMG and its tenants, including the liaison with government departments and regulators.

The Environment and Sustainability Advisor will help build and maintain partnerships that are based on shared values and drive continual environmental, heritage and sustainability improvements at AMG.

**Responsibilities**:
Your responsibilities will include:

- Assist in preparation of the annual Sustainability Report and ESG sections of the quarterly, half-yearly and annual reports and other corporate reporting as required.
- Assist with implementation of the Carbon Management Action Plan.
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to measure and gather data for inclusion in the annual Sustainability Report.
- Track AMG targets of carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 2030 and net zero Scope 3 emissions by 2050.
- Assist in the management of the implementation of both the Bankstown and Camden Airport Environmental Strategies.
- Assist in managing the ongoing development, implementation, and review of AMG Environmental Management System (EMS) in line with both airport’s environmental strategies.
- Assist with management of the environmentally significant sites at Bankstown and Camden Airports and coordinate conservation programs, including bush regeneration and biodiversity projects.
- Assist in managing environmental monitoring programs (e.g. energy, fuel, stormwater, groundwater, air and waste) in accordance with the Airport Environment Strategy (AES) and liaise with regulatory authorities as required.
- Undertake environmental inspections of airport tenants and any construction activities onsite to ensure compliance with the AES and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in providing advice on the conservation and management of culturally significant heritage sites at Bankstown and Camden Airports.
- Assist in managing the curation and support the adoption of the Reconciliation Action Plan across AMG.

**About You**

You will come with previous local experience in an Environment or Sustainability role with around 5 years’ experience. Naturally, you will be a quick learner, and demonstrate a passion for sustainability and an eagerness to implement environmental and sustainability initiatives which will make a tangible difference to driving decarbonisation and environmental outcomes at AMG.

You will possess a solid knowledge of government systems and relevant environmental legislation, regulations, policies and practices, and have a sound awareness of sustainability reporting bodies and frameworks.

You will be able to demonstrate the ability to cope in a technically complex and fast-changing environment, and to respond calmly and rationally to changing aspirations in a deadline-driven situation.

Your communication and stakeholder engagement skills will be of very high quality, and you will come with a proven decision-making ability with the facility to judge complex situations and assess when to escalate issues.
