About Our Organisation: Box Hill South Pre School is a warm and inviting, not for profit Community Kindergarten. We offer an exciting, engaging and stimulating play-based program delivered by enthusiastic and passionate educators for sessional 3YO and 4YO groups. Our purpose-built kindergarten is situated in a peaceful and natural setting and shares the wonderful facilities of Box Hill South Family Centre. Our large, bright playroom and spacious outdoor play area allow every child the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential, and the warm and caring environment created by our dedicated teaching team.

**Description**

**About the Role**: Box Hill South Pre School is looking for a Diploma/Certificate III qualified kindergarten educator to fill a permanent part time role commencing in 2025 in our 4-year-old group. Specific hours are:

- 27.25hrs per week which consists of 21hrs contact time and 6.25hrs non-contact time.
- Session times are 8.30-4pm on Tues, Weds, Thurs
- Non-contact before and after the sessions Tues, Weds, Thurs 8-8.30, 4-4.30. for set up and pack down.
- Additional Non-contact time of 3.25hrs is to be completed on a mutually agreeable day and time.

Additional hours include:

- 1/2 hr fortnightly for planning meetings (online meetings)
- 2hr per term for staff meetings

**Qualifications**

**To be successful, you need to**:

- Demonstrate a significant amount of experience in early childhood education (including in a sessional kindergarten) and working in a small and supportive team environment.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrate understanding of VEYLDF, and active contribution in the implementation of the QIP.
- Demonstrates ability to contribute to planning and delivering a high-quality educational program.
- Have current working with children check and police check, mandatory reporting/ child protection. Current first aid, asthma, anaphylaxis and CPR.
- Hold a Diploma or CERT III in Early Childhood Education
