**About the Role**:
The Head of School will have proven strategic experience in capability and capacity building in the context of the school's authentic approach to effective pedagogy.
- This requires the Head of School to possess high level communication and interpersonal skills and develop and implement through a collaborative teams leadership a range of strategies to empower Heads of Department and teachers to optimise teaching and learning with precision and impact.
- Necessarily the Head of School possesses a high level of data literacy to inform and guide, identify progress in school priorities and student achievement targets, with a view to extending and optimising student outcomes in an already high performing school.
- The Head of School will have relational skills to engage others and continue to promote a forward looking and innovative professional culture within the school, quality assure inclusive programs and differentiation as required to target groups.
- The Head of School has a clear understanding of the connection between learning and wellbeing and also provides supervision and guidance to the school's wellbeing team.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold school associate leadership as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
