Cleaner - Pt Wch

Our Health and Education (H&E) line of business provides comprehensive operational and maintenance services to various healthcare and educational facilities. We are currently seeking a dedicated **Cleaner**to join our team at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital (WCH) in Adelaide.

**About the Role**:
As part of our team at WCH, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the hospital is clean and well-maintained, providing a safe and hygienic environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will work closely with other team members to undertake a range of cleaning services in line with hospital infection control standards and Downer policies. This position requires you to work autonomously and as part of a team, ensuring high cleaning standards are met in a healthcare environment.

**This is a part time opportunity, you must be available to work Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 10:00am**
- Perform general cleaning duties, including floor care, dusting, wiping, and spot cleaning of walls, doors, bathrooms, and isolation areas.
- Ensure that all necessary cleaning supplies are available and maintain all equipment in good working order.
- Respond promptly to service requests and ensure adherence to the hospital's infection control policies and procedures.
- Uphold workplace health and safety standards, proactively identifying and reporting hazards or incidents.
- Actively participate in Zero Harm initiatives to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all.

**About you**:

- Previous experience in cleaning within a healthcare environment (preferred).
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and procedures.
- Understanding of infection control practices and workplace health and safety.
- Strong attention to detail, high cleaning standards, and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Ability to work across a range of shifts and adapt to varying start and finish times.
- Ability to function autonomously while maintaining high levels of professionalism, courtesy, and empathy when interacting with patients and staff.
