**About The Role**
The Receiving Team Manager is responsible for the timely and accurate receiving of stock. They will ensure efficiency when moving products within & outside the warehouse environment. They will have an overarching responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of documentation, labelling, palletisation and that presentation of product is adhered to. The Receiving Team Manager will be responsible for the receipt, movement and storage of product, including the unloading and loading of trucks whilst monitoring key performance indicators such as receipting in of stock within a set timeframe, inventory accuracy, resourcing and rostering according to forecasted workload. They will be responsible for ensuring that the warehouse & equipment is cleaned to standard daily.
Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Undertake all general warehousing duties including but not limited to - pick and pack, loading and unloading, manual handling, stock counting and put away.
- Maintain all documentation and files relating to incoming shipments.
- Oversee the material receiving activities to ensure materials received are what was ordered, correct quantities, are undamaged etc.
- Perform counts on all stock received to ensure accuracy in receiving.
- Physical repalletizing of stock once received in order to facilitate put-away.
- Ensuring accuracy of stock movement.
- Partnering with other business departments to ensure stock is able to be received accurately - Sales & Account Managers.
- Conduct forklift duties as required.
- Work co-operatively with all staff in warehouse and other heads of departments ; Outbound Manager, Sales Manager, Account managers, as well external logistics/transport teams to ensure an effective and efficient daily operation that supports goals and targets being met.
- Be responsible for the safe storage of product within company guidelines.
- Assist with the provision of on-the-job training to other workers.
- Oversee the productivity and daily tasks of warehouse employees and report concerns to the Warehouse Operations Manager as required.
- Report and clean up any damages within the warehouse.
- Perform counts, stock takes and cycle counts as directed.
- Be responsible for the unloading and loading of trucks - when/if required/directed.
- Be responsible for the unloading and loading of shipping containers - when/if required/directed.
- Ensure that PO's are receipted in, in full and on time. Any variance needs to be checked and communicated with relevant account manager.
- Assist the Warehouse Leadership Team to plan daily warehouse functions including problem solving, maintenance fault solutions and providing input in relation to team performance, site growth and planning meetings.
- Demonstrate and promote a proactive commitment to health & safety, wellbeing and the environment whilst complying with all laws and company policies.
- Support companywide initiatives to improve service levels to our customers.
- Undertake identified training as approved/requested by the Warehouse Operations Manager.
- Perform all tasks to a high standard to meet Standard Operating Procedures and processes.
- Restructure inbound department to maximize efficiency, output, as well as revenue.
- Create and implement new processes which increase efficiency of the inbound department
- Conduct weekly meetings with team members as well as other heads of departments and stay up to date with key events
Qualifications & Skills
- Understanding and experience with standard warehousing practices
- Proficient with WMS systems
- Advanced problem solving and fault-finding abilities
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- High/intermediate excel skills
- Ability to manage all aspects of the role in a fast paced environment
- Previous leadership experience
- Ability to conduct manual handling and physical tasks safely and effectively - repeated lifting, bending, stretching
