Abel Tasman Village is a non-for-profit, 72-bed residential Aged Care facility, that was established in 1994 and since then has built a reputation of delivering outstanding care to our ageing population. Our name is well known, and respected in the community and that of the surrounding areas and we find ourselves as one of the preferred residential Aged Care facilities in Southwestern Sydney.

**About the Role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Work with residents to develop personalized care plans, taking into account their preferences, abilities, and needs.
- Record and maintain care plans, progress notes, activity attendance, and other relevant information in a professional and timely manner.
- Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging activities and outings that meet the diverse interests and needs of residents.
- Lead or assist in outings, ensuring resident safety and well-being, responsible for medication management during outings.
- Supervise and support volunteers during activities and outings.
- Plan, prepare, and distribute the monthly newsletter to residents and families.
- Participate in internal audits and strive for continuous improvement.
- Engage in in-house and external training programs to continually improve professional skills.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Aged Care industry, specifically with dementia care.
- Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle and/or Certificate IV in Aged Care.
- Dutch speaking preferred, though additional secondary languages are an advantage.
- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to acquire.
- National Police Check (renewable every three years) or willingness to acquire.
- Competent in computer use, preferably with knowledge of Publisher and PowerPoint.

Pay: $29.00 - $29.89 per hour
