About us
We work with people who the courts have decided must be supervised within the community. This includes people on parole, as well as people on court and post sentence supervision orders.
These people have often faced traumatic life experiences. They may have suffered physical and sexual abuse or grown up with few positive role models. Many have also suffered from or witnessed substance abuse as well. These experiences often bring about anti-social behaviours or self-protection strategies that can culminate in criminal actions.
It is our job as CCS staff to be positive role models for these people, as they try address their offending behaviours to make a better life for themselves in our community.
CCS plays a vital role in contributing to the safety of the community by:

- Engaging offenders to build responsibility, and
- Connecting offenders to programs, services and community.

About the role
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Regional General Manager (Bayside) leads and directs day to day operations across Frankston, Moorabbin and Rosebud locations. The Regional General Manager (East) is responsible for operations across Box Hill, Lilydale and Ringwood.
This role is required to work from and travel to locations within the region and manage CCS, having direct line management responsibilities for the teams across the court services, parole and post sentence supervision and community work streams, and a number of other specialist positions. The role also requires participation in the Region's After Hours Duty Director roster.
The Regional General Manager is also a member of the region's executive management team. In that capacity, the position has a significant role to play providing strategic advice for the entire region and delivering strategic outcomes to address issues affecting the region CCS as a whole. The role is also pivotal with close collaboration and working relationships with other Departments on Better Connected Care outcomes.

About you
We are seeking someone who can think outside the box, a positive leader who is able to motivate, develop and inspire their team while determining resource allocations to deliver services.
A relevant qualification in social work or related human services discipline (preferred) or criminal justice, criminology (desirable) with work experience in a legislative framework (desirable)
