**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The Waste Services team manages the ongoing successful delivery of Council’s waste collection service, ensuring Cumberland City is kept clean and safe, environmental outcomes are achieved and residents benefit from a high quality service.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader - City Waste to assist the Supervisor City Waste to ensure all street and park litter bins, illegally dumped rubbish colelctions and commercial waste services are provided across the Cumberland Council area to the highest standard. This position will also assist the day to day operations of Council’s City Waste Team, monitoring the implementation of Council’s service standards and assisting the Supervisor City Waste to deliver the requirements of Council’s Community, Delivery and Operations Plans.

The successful applicant will require:

- A minimum of three years experience in waste services operations
- A good working knowledge of waste disposal facility operations
- Experience operating waste service plant and equipment
- Waste services contract management experience
- Demonstrated communication skills, interpersonal and customer services skills
- Experience in leading a team and assigning daily duties to team members
- Class HR Drivers Licence.

**Position information**: This is a permanent, full-time position, working a 70 hour fortnight, with access to Council's 9 day fortnight Rostered Day Off (RDO) arrangement.

This role is predominantly located at Council's Auburn and Guildford Depot, with frequent travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council’s work locations.

**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 10 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $1,464.40 to $1,684.06 per week, plus 10.5% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role
- Span of work hours from 5:00am to 1:30pm, Monday to Friday.
