Media Strategist

**Purpose of the role**

Drive insight-led, integrated media strategies that position Youi for success in a competitive market. This role blends audience, category, and cultural insights to guide creative, commercially focused campaigns. It supports media specialists with strategic input, fosters innovation, and ensures alignment across stakeholders for effective, results-driven execution.

- Deliver targeted, region-specific strategies to support business objectives.
- Translate business goals into clear, actionable media strategy.
- Provide audience, cultural, and competitor insights to inform planning.
- Drive media innovation and champion creative, media-first ideas.
- Foster a test-and-learn culture to continuously improve effectiveness.
- Track media trends and keep teams informed and future-ready.
- Lead the media briefing process with clarity and strategic focus.

**About you**
**Experience & Knowledge**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Communications, or related field (required).
- 7+ years in media strategy or integrated marketing, ideally in both agency and in-house roles.
- Proven track record delivering insight-led, cross-channel media strategies.
- Deep understanding of the Australian media landscape and media planning functions.
- Strong ability to translate creative ideas into impactful, measurable media plans.
- Experienced in media innovation, test-and-learn, and competitive analysis.
- Skilled collaborator with experience leading cross-functional ideation sessions.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and storytelling abilities.
- Proficient in media research tools, analytics, and consumer insight frameworks.
- Curious, creative, and confident—challenges the status quo and thrives in fast-paced teams.

**Ways of working**

Youi offers a hybrid model: in-office Tuesday to Thursday, remote Mondays and Fridays.
