**Your new company**

The Taskforce is responsible for designing and implementing a simplified, digital, and user-centric trade system that will reduce costs, increase efficiency, and enhance security for Australian businesses and consumers.

**Your new role**

As an APS6 Finance Officer, you will join a dynamic and innovative team that is delivering whole-of-government outcomes for the Australian trade system. Working in this small agency, you will be exposed to many aspects of the finance role, giving you the opportunity to develop and grow your skills in the finance world. Your Day to Day's will vary, but your key responsibilities will be:

- Provide relevant and accurate advice on budget and financial management, financial policy, procurement, and contracting matters.
- Undertake financial administration and analysis including financial and procurement reporting, forecasting, invoicing and accruals
- Assist with internal budget development and maintenance, including mid-year review
- Assist the Taskforce in procurement and contracting requirements, undertaking audits to ensure compliance and improve data integrity
- Contribute to the team’s innovation and continuous business process improvement and identify risks and business opportunities.

As you will be engaging and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally, well-developed communication skills with the ability to foster professional relationships whilst building rapport and trust is a must.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Experience with accounting systems similar to SAP, TM1, P2P, TRIM, or the ability to quickly acquire the skills to successfully navigate and use the systems.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge with all facets of accounts financial planning and management, in particular accounts payable and receivable, data entry, invoicing, payment, reconciliation, general ledger, and budget planning.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake work with a moderate level of complexity and sensitivity under limited guidance, while communicating effectively with various stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Sound knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks and best practice with regards to the PGPA Act and Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
