**About the role**

The Assistant Policy Officer plays a key role in supporting the Office of the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner to develop, implement, and evaluate policy initiatives that foster a vibrant, safe, and productive 24-hour economy in NSW. With a primary focus on the NSW Vibrancy Reforms, the role also contributes to broader projects related to the night-time economy. As part of the Policy team, the Assistant Policy Officer undertakes a variety of tasks, including policy research and analysis, communications and stakeholder engagement, and monitoring and evaluation of initiatives. This role also provides vital administrative and operational support to ensure the successful delivery of projects, including preparing policy materials, coordinating stakeholder activities, and maintaining project documentation.

**About You**

You are an organised and detail-oriented professional with experience in policy research, analysis, and project administration. You have a demonstrated interest in public policy and take a collaborative approach to supporting policy development, implementation, and evaluation.

Skilled in stakeholder engagement, you are confident in coordinating meetings, preparing briefs, and producing clear and effective communications materials. With strong organisational abilities, you excel at managing competing priorities, meeting tight deadlines, and maintaining accurate records.

You are adept at compiling and assessing data to inform evidence-based decision-making and policy monitoring. You possess a proactive mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
