**About the University**

**About the role**

This role sits within the Pro Vice Chancellor, Student Experience portfolio which includes Student Success, Indigenous Education, Chaplaincy, Libraries, Student Life and Wellbeing. Position reports to the Manager, Student Success and is responsible for the implementation of the Notre Dame Careers and Employability framework, working with the Manager, Student Success and career officers to deliver a suite of programs that support career development and employability.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Coordinate the Careers and Employability program in-line with the Careers and Employability Framework and evidenced based practice
- developing, implementing, evaluating, and reporting project objectives.
- Provide specialist advice and recommendations to leadership that inform and enhance an evidence-based approach to support the Careers and Employability Framework.
- Coordinate and deliver a suite of career counselling and career education services to individual students including individual career counselling, career planning and career assessment.
- Lead a team of Career Officers across our campuses, with responsibilities including recruitment, training, supervision, professional development, mentoring, and pastoral care.
- Build and maintain positive and effective working relationships nationally with Notre Dame staff, and partnerships with employer organisations and community agencies, to facilitate the integration of degree-discipline knowledge and learning with career development learning.
- Administer the Careers budget to ensure effective delivery of the program.
- Create career and employability resources, promotional material and events for students and staff to build engagement and develop employability.
- Maintain currency of career development and industry knowledge to ensure that the provision of advice and information by the Careers and Employability Team is informed and appropriate.

**Selection Criteria**
- A relevant degree or an equivalent combination of education and training with proven leadership and coordination experience in a similar role
- Registration as a Career professional with the Career Industry Council Australia and a strong understanding of the Professional Standards for Australian Career Development Practitioners
- Excellent operational and project coordination skills including the ability to analyse issues and problems, develop feasible solutions, and manage multiple concurrent projects from initiation through to completion.
- Proven supervisory skills with the ability to provide leadership to a small team of careers officers.
