**About the Role**

The F5 Specialist utilizes extensive knowledge of specific ICT Platforms to provide expert advice on their management and maintenance. They collaborate with third-party suppliers, ensuring a strong gateway infrastructure for the business. The role involves liaising with architecture and shared services for operational security. Decision-making relies on their judgment considering agency-wide implications, guided by senior staff. Leading, they promote innovation, change, and effective work organization amidst priorities. The F5 Specialist may manage or contribute to a team.

**What you need to be successful**

The F5 Specialists Key Tasks/Duties may include some or all of the following;
Plan and manage future infrastructure needs, provide operational support for hardware and software, establish efficient procedures for issue resolution and change management, analyse change requests, offer specialized technical advice, share expertise and mentor colleagues, set standards and policies, develop staff, review technical documentation, manage stakeholder relationships, promote innovation and improvement, and exercise delegation within guidelines.

**Primary Technologies**: F5 AWAF Web Proxies Linux Administration.

**Selection Criteria**
- Demonstrated F5 expert in deploying, configuring, and deep understanding of F5 AWAF Solutions.
- Knowledge and understanding of F5 products LTM, GTM, ASM, ALM, APM.
- Proficient scripting and programming skills to configure advanced policies and rules in F5 AWAF.
- Proficient knowledge on NGFW preferred Palo Alto and IPS concepts and features.
