As a Disability Support (Mental Health) Worker, you will deliver a variety of services to participants to support them to live a fulfilling and meaningful life in the community. Your working day may include (but not limited to), assistance and or support with daily living activities, domestic activities, social and community participation and varying skill development activities,
The successful worker will be someone with the flexibility to work for short and long shifts, nights and weekends able to work with clients with complex needs/ behaviours - mental illness, intellectual impairment.

You're calm, collected and resilient in the face of adversity and are looking to carry these qualities with you to the front line to start helping those in need. You are an independent, proactive thinker and worker but are also able to follow direction/s given by your Supervisors and can work within a tight-knit team.

To join our team, you must have the following requirements:
**_Essential: _**
- Ability to do all shifts including active overnights
- Experience in working with people with Mental illness, Intellectual, developmental disabilities
- First Aid Certificate /Mental Health First Aid
- Experience in working with complex challenging behaviours
- Experience in working with Clients with Restrictive practices
- Driver's License and your own vehicle
- Experience in community care
- Creative with various art craft activities, Cooking or outdoor activities (Walks in bushes etc)
- Practical, active and caring personality
- Police clearance - not less than 12 months old
- Blue & Yellow card (Current)
**Job Type**: Casual
**Salary**: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Shift work
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Daisy Hill, QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
Licence/Certification:
- First Aid Certification & current CPR (required)
- Blue Card (required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Card (required)
- Driver Licence & Comprehensive Insurance (required)
