The role and your mission
What’s your mission?
We’re four years in to our AWS build, (complete with APRA endorsed workloads) it’s time to take it to the next level. With 25 + engineers, 3 squads, supported by awesome delivery and capability up lift teams, everything is ready for you to refine and innovate our cloud eco systems.
What will your day look like
We’re rebuilding banking systems, products and experience, so you’ll need to cool with ambiguity, change and a fast pace.
Own and manage the Enterprise AWS technology roadmap and contribute to the prioritisation of all work that aligns to milestones
Voice of customer. Listen and always work on what is feasible, desirable and viable.
Understand multiple stakeholders POVs and translate them into high-level product and service designs
Storyteller - go beyond the mechanics of chopping up a user story into the product backlog and tell the story that nicely ties together the “how might we” and “why”
Nurture vendor relationships and innovate with new services and tooling.
We’re looking for a knowledge junkie that does stuff with it You actively seek out market trends, leading practices and innovations. Strategic and bigger picture thinking is a must.
We’ll help you get to the meet-ups and get the certifications you need to keep on expanding your skills.
What will you bring?
Deep expertise as a lead engineer / enterprise architect or consultant in complex software delivery. Perhaps you’re at a stage in your career where you’re off the tools but still love to be close to engineering.
You’ve worked with cloud technology at scale and have some experience with AWS, design philosophies and the specific services.
You have exposure and can lead the product thinking on Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, cloud security controls
The ability to align to strategy and roadmap, manage dependencies, trade of conversations, financial planning, reporting progress and anything else that ensures a smooth pipeline of work
Courage and the capability to step up when things get tough.
Ability to galvanise a diverse group of people around a common mission
You are willing to do what it takes to ensure the AWS Cloud Platform at ANZ is the best in the world
