We are a growth-oriented company and after many years of success in the Australian market, we have expanded into the USA, where we are establishing a customer service and manufacturing facility to offer the same amazing products and service to a new, exciting and much larger market.

An exciting opportunity is now available for a highly motivated, experienced Purchasing Manager to join our business and manage the Purchasing Department based out of our office in Smeaton Grange.

**About the role**:
Working closely with our Innovation, Warehouse and Production Teams your scope of responsibility will be across all aspects of the purchasing from suppliers.
**Requirements**:

- Lead, manage and develop the Purchasing Team.
- Manage and maintain pricing, supplier communications and stock information ensuring all details are up to date (Contact Details, SKU’s, Pricing, etc ).
- Manage, organise and oversee regular stock-takes of all stock on hand (SOH).
- Input SOH figures into Inventory Management Spreadsheets & Systems.
- Analyse monthly usage figures to determine projected holding quantities.
- Continually monitor for potential stock outs and help action internal processes.
- Plan Purchase Orders to local & overseas suppliers.
- Liaise with suppliers on urgent requirements.
- Administer general stock management tasks including: updating container schedules, warehouse plans, stock on hand readings and quality checks on product batches.
- Liaise with the Dispatch & Warehouse Supervisor to generate and maintain storage plans for all stock items.
- Develop, review and ensure compliance to purchasing policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain internal documentation on all purchasing procedures.
- Conduct weekly checks of warehouse stock capacity.
- Ensure stock rotations are occurring correctly, including correct labelling and FIFO.
- Provide remote support for all purchasing tasks at our US based warehouse.

**Requirements**:

- Highly motivated and enthusiastic with a minimum 5 year’s experience in a senior procurement role within an FMCG environment.
- Process and deadline driven, with sound experience in procurement, purchasing, contract management and/or supplier management.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills, as you will be required to communicate with the floor staff, upper management and suppliers to find resolutions to problems, execute plans, gather information and answer questions.
- Attention to detail, you will also have a keen eye for spotting errors or potential issues and the ability to self check your work for accuracy.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and manage effective, mutually beneficial business relationships.
- Familiarity with online purchasing and inventory management systems. Experience with Dear Systems, Cin 7, and/or Unleashed is highly favourable.
