**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Personal Care Support**:

- Assist with personal hygiene routines, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required.
- Manage medication reminders and support with prescribed treatments.
- Provide mobility assistance, including transfers and use of mobility aids.
- **Community Access Assistance**:

- Facilitate transportation to medical appointments, social events, and other community activities.
- Assist with navigating public spaces, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Support engagement with community resources, such as local services, activities, and social groups.
- Help with shopping, errands, and other tasks related to community involvement.
- **Companionship and Emotional Support**:

- Build a supportive and trusting relationship with the individual.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement, fostering a positive outlook.
- Engage in activities and hobbies that promote well-being and social interaction.
- **Household Support**:

- Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to the individual’s care environment, including tidying up and organizing personal items.
- Ensure the living space is safe and clean.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of care activities and observations.
- Report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals or family members.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Previous experience in personal care, caregiving, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- **Skills**: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and empathy.
- **Certifications**: CPR/First Aid certification preferred. Willingness to obtain necessary certifications is required.
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to perform physical tasks related to personal care and mobility assistance, including lifting and transferring.

- Victorian Drivers Licence
- Permanent Residency
- Their Vehicle with Car Registration and Insurance
- Cert III in Individual Support or Aged Care
- Police Check

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $35.08 - $40.50 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 38 per week
