**About us**

True Compassion Care Pty. Ltd is a NDIS Registered Provider operating in Melbourne, Victoria, Adelaide, SA and Brisbane, Queensland. Our focus is on assisting our Participants with disabilities to reach their goals by helping them to participate in community activities and to become independent in their home. **Tasks & responsibilities**
- Provide quality direct support to participants in line with their support needs, the program they are accessing, and all support plans including the service users Individual Plan.
- Assist with daily activities (i.e. showering, toileting. Etc)
- Household tasks, and development of their capacities.
- Community support - Assist with shopping, walks, and other activities with participants.
- Provide transport using personal vehicle or public transport dependent on participant
- Create case notes of the shifts to improve our services to participants.
- Establish professional rapport and collaborate effectively with participants and families to reach their personal and NDIS goals

**Skills and Experience**

We love to hear from experienced Support Workers, with certificate IIII or IV in Individual support and experience.

As a NDIS funded organisation, we will also need you to have or be willing to obtain the following:

- Prior experience supporting clients with disabilities (highly desirable)
- Relevant nationally recognised qualification (highly desirable)
- Current unrestricted Driver’s License and comprehensive car insurance, plus own reliable transport
- Experience working with Culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) participants
- Current working with children/ Paid employee Blue Card.
- Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Current First Aid & CPR
- NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Full Australian working rights
- Smart phone with internet access
- Two current professional references from a supervisor will be required

**Participant specific skills and experience**

To be successful in this position you will need the following;
- Experience working with people with disability
- Hoist experience (1:1) (all shifts)
- Bowel therapy - enema experience (afternoon shifts)
- Reliable, Hygienic, ‘can do’ attitude, strong time management skills
- Live no further than 20 - 30 minutes travel from Fortitude Valley QLD (Preferred but not mandatory)
- Limited visitors parking. Travel by public transportation (Preferred but not mandatory)
- Female (preferred); and
- Meet and greet/ Support person selection.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 20 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Fixed shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Public holidays
- Shift work

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid and CPR Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Work Location: In person
