- We are seeking a Logistics Transport Supervisor supervising the Transport and Distribution team based out of the ACT.
- This is a hands on logistics supervision role reporting to the Logistics Manager, responsible for:
- Supervising the day to day activity and performance of a team of 10 (approx).
- Supervise warehouse and distribution in a logistics capacity, including stock control, maintenance, security, open/close, waste disposal;
- Monitor WHS compliance;
- Organize the transport and logistics team to undertake pickup and delivery of all donated goods in accordance with written schedule;
- Maintain communication with stakeholders including customers/donors and deliver excellent customer service internally and externally.
- Co ordinate transport fleet and forklift maintenance and servicing;- A valid Australian Driver's License, truck (MR) or forklift license;
- Previous experience in a Logistics or Transport and Distribution Supervision role;
- An understanding, empathy and appreciation of others with the ability to promote the values and ethos of The Salvation Army;
- WHS - knowledge of work health safety obligations and to practice these day to day
