- **About the role**:_The purpose of the Food Services Assistant is to assist in preparing and serves large amounts of food and maintains a safe and clean work environment. They prepare and serve meals according to nutrition and hygiene standards, clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, and dishes, and monitor stock levels.The Food Services Attendants must ensure an ultimate 5 star dining experience for our residents at Lions Haven and are accountable for the end to end process of creating, plating, serving, and cleaning of all meals. Meals must be to the resident choice, dietary and allergen requirements at all times.Work Cooperatively and as Directed by the Chef or Head Cook
Actively participate in education and development
Actively support a service delivery culture which supports contemporary practice and fosters innovation
Provide efficient, friendly and professional service to all internal and external customers.
Strive for Total Consumer Satisfaction
Understanding of Aged Care quality & Safety Standards for Residential Aged care and assist in achieving required standards.
- **Resident Focused High Quality Care**_Preparation, presentation and serving of high quality food and meals and beverages to residents in accordance with food safety legislation.
Assist in ensuring morning, afternoon tea and hydration service is maintained to all residents.
Kitchen Preparation as required
Liaise with residents for dietary requirements, and take meal orders for lunch/dinner.
Adherence to menus and plans for meals with provision of choice
Ensure dishes and kitchen areas are cleaned in houses.
Maintain accurate kitchen documentation and temperature logging.
Maintain stock at pre-determined levels
Cleaning and maintaining kitchen areas and equipment and ensure cleaning checklists and logs are completed.
- **Qualifications/Experience**_Certificate III in Food Hygiene or equivalent qualifications or industry experience.
Health and/or Aged Care Industry Experience (desirable)
Knowledge or dietary requirements & IDDSI (desirable)
Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
Ability and commitment to work as part of a team.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
High level of empathy and patience when dealing with elderly and vulnerable people and their families.
Current National Police Check (mandatory)
Current COVID 19 Vaccination (mandatory)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
