The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.

This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.

As a **Handyperson**, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties from minor repairs and renovations to general maintenance. Your expertise will play a crucial role in upholding the highest standards of quality and excellence that our guests have come to expect.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will showcase your problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

**A few of your responsibilities**:

- Perform a wide range of tasks, including repairs such as patching, painting tiling, AV equipment, and general maintenance
- Ensure the timely and efficient completion of assigned tasks while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards
- Collaborate with the Property Operations team to identify and address maintenance needs proactively
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed
- Support the planning and execution of maintenance tasks and small-scale projects as needed.

**What are we looking for**:

- Proven experience as a handyperson, with practical skills in general building maintenance, including basic carpentry, plumbing, or electrical
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as required

The $3.6 billion Queen’s Wharf Brisbane development is being delivered by Destination Brisbane Consortium - a joint venture led by The Star Entertainment Group alongside its partners.
