Bethanie Joondanna is seeking a passionate, organised and energetic **Therapy Assistant** to work with our residents as part of the Therapy Team. Bethanie Joondanna is a 60-Bed Aged-Care Home with a relaxed and homely feel. Join our friendly and close-knit team at Bethanie Joondanna

We are looking for people with a passion for working with people of all abilities and backgrounds. You will have an enthusiastic and creative approach to your work and be able to support our residents’ strengths and interests.

This position is offered on a casual basis working a variety of shifts throughout the week for 9:00am-5:00pm or 8:30am-4:30pm shifts.

**About the Role**:

- Implement therapy and lifestyle programs for groups and individual residents including residents living with dementia
- Adapt activities to resident’s level of function under the guidance of a Therapist
- Address physical and psychological needs and provide opportunities for meaningful engagement for residents
- Maintain required records

**About You**:

- Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group Inc.
- Previous experience in an Therapy Assistant role or Certificate 3 or 4 Allied Health Assistant _essential_
- Previous experience working with people living with dementia _desirable_
- Clear communication in both a verbal and written capacity with care recipients, families and team members
- Well-developed literacy and numeracy skills with a strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated skills with technology/devices/computer programs that are intended for therapy benefits (e.g. Microsoft Office, Wii, iPad and apps etc.)
