Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.
An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and experienced social worker to join our Social Work Department, This position is based at the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre and will work across areas (rehabilitation, spinal and ABI). As the Grade 2, you will take a lead role across clinical areas and will use your social work skills and knowledge to assess and deliver a range of interventions (including facilitation of discharge). The work will involves extensive liaison with patients, family and/or carers to communicate treatment, interventions and outcomes. In this role you will also have opportunities to supervise staff, students and to participate in research and quality improvement activities. The Social Work Department will support your growth and development by providing clinical supervision, training and professional development.
