**The role**:
Reporting to the Technical Delivery Manager, the Principal Technical Specialist will deliver, monitor, and report on multiple project activities against agreed criteria. This role provides comprehensive ICT architectures and design for enterprise ICT portfolios providing strategic direction, project management support to Clients and our Project Management teams

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Manage the definition, documentation, and successful completion of multiple large-scale ICT projects in line with Queensland Health's project management methodologies.
- Promote and ensure use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools, including benefits realisation and risk and issue management, to ensure quality project outcomes are delivered.
- Manage, monitor, and report on project related trends and performance against project plans and schedules.
- Manage and monitor resources, expenses, and capital costs against project forecasts.
- Establish and maintain procedures relating to project procurement processes.
- Plan and coordinate and monitor the delivery of specialised ICT work packages relating to the procurement of ICT Services

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Have demonstrated experience in a project environment, including planning, preparing and managing project deliverables
- High level of expertise and experience in the following technology domains to analyse, provide technical direction, standardisation, professional advice and support of enterprise ICT services in a large customer focus organisation
- Extensive experience in building and managing enterprise-scale cloud solutions in Azure
- Cloud Automation (ARM / Bicep, Azure Automation / Functions)
- Azure Active Directory
- Identity & Federation Services
- Scripting Languages (PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, etc)
- Microsoft Windows Server and Linux Server (OS)
- DNS / DHCP
- Cloud Connectivity (ExpressRoute)
- Cloud Adoption Framework and Landing Zones (preferred)

The Delivery Services Branch is Queensland Health's trusted partner and advisor for digital health project delivery excellence. The branch includes three units:

- Digital Health and Business Solutions
- Digital Solutions Delivery Services
- Digital Solutions and Technology
- Clinical Program
- Digital Enablement

The core function of the branch is to ensure successful delivery of major IT projects and initiatives to our customers across Queensland Health for the benefit of all Queenslanders. Digital Enablement will establish the underpinning infrastructure (including Cloud), security and platform(s) for low/no-code solution development and delivery. The current Cloud Transformation Project will deliver the detailed planning, including, but not limited to, the strategic roadmap for delivery of a robust Cloud Platform as-a-Service for both Azure and Amazon Web Services platforms.
