**Salary**: $106,667 - $120,529 p.a plus super
**The opportunity**:
This is a unique chance to join a leading research team dedicated to advancing paediatric epilepsy care. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you'll be at the forefront of cutting-edge studies, working with advanced genomic and proteomic technologies to drive breakthroughs in understanding and treating epilepsy in children. You'll collaborate with a diverse, multidisciplinary international team, gaining valuable research experience, mentorship and contribute to research with global impact.
**Your responsibilities include**:
Plans and performs research under limited supervision, which may involve experimental design, as sole researcher or as part of a large multidisciplinary clinical-laboratory-informatics program
Handles and processes irreplaceable human specimens
Cell culture (preferably with experience with iPSC and neuronal differentiation)
Histopathology (experience with spatial technology will be highly regarded)
Molecular biology (preferably with experience across DNA/RNA/Protein methodologies and analysis)
Interpretation and validation of data acquired from omic technologies (technologies employed by the team include: WGS, WES, ONT, EPIC, RNAseq, snRNAseq, spatial RNAseq & MS. Experience with a programming language would be advantageous)
**What we need from you**:
PhD qualification in cell biology, genetics or related discipline
Significant experience in cell culture, molecular biology, and a variety of laboratory techniques
Knowledge of pharmacological concepts, cell biology, molecular biology and biochemistry
Ability to communicate across disciplines
