Multiple LABORATORY TECHNICIAN Opportunities with our national leading clients.

1. 2 Lab technician role - Our client supplies compressed and bulk gases, chemicals and equipment around the globe. The company develops safe, sustainable and innovative solutions for customers in many speciality sectors, heavy industry and medical environments

**As part of your new role, you will be**:

- Manual handling of cylinders trundling - all sizes (trolleys avail to assist with moving between locations)
- Volume depends on workstation could process up to 40 cylinders per day
- Analysis with pre-defined methods
- Data processing of results
- Run samples through analytical equipment data process of results to determine composition of special mixtures
- Using SAP to store results against cylinders and produce certificates of analysis
- Equipment used - Gas chromatography - FTIR
- Process analyses
- Prepare cylinders for dispatch
- Shrink wrap attached certificate and labelling
- Filling includes pre-fill cylinder checks - mostly scanning and check stamping
- Filling of special gas mixtures using automated and semi-automated filling booths
- Control of raw materials - ensuring analysis before use, checking stock levels 40 cylinders per day

We would love to talk to you if you have**:Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or Science degree Bachelor of Science in medicine or forensics.

2. 2x Quality Control - Lab technician for construction material company. Our client provides chemical solutions for new construction, maintenance, repair and renovation of structures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Shovelling / scooping of aggregates, sands and powders into buckets ready for making a batch of concrete
- Tipping material from the buckets into the concrete mixer (each bucket about 15 kg)
- Scooping fresh concrete from the mixer and placing into moulds / other testing equipment (not simply filling them up, but following instructions to partially fill and compact in the way specified for the particular test)
- Cleaning concrete mixer at the end of each mix
- De-moulding and labelling hardened concrete from test cylinders
- Cleaning moulds ready for re-use
- General housekeeping duties to ensure lab remains safe
- Use of other lab testing equipment, nothing complicated, will just need to be able to follow instructions

Ideal for someone with previous experience in construction materials testing or tertiary qualifications in material science or a similar discipline.
