As Manager, Lived and Living Experience Workforces in the Lived Experience Policy team, you will lead small team to develop policies and programs that ensure lived and living experiences workforces employed in mental health and alcohol and drug services are supported to thrive.
You will collaborate with consumers and their families, carer and supports, lived and living experience workforces, their colleagues and employing services to ensure Royal Commission recommendations and the collective priorities for lived and living experience workforces in the Mental Health and Wellbeing Workforce Strategy 2021-24 are addressed.

- Driven to reform Victoria's mental health system to support better outcomes for consumers, families and carers, and people with experience of substance use or addiction?
- A skilled communicator and collaborator with stakeholder management experience?
- The Manager, Lived and Living Experience Workforces will lead development of policies and programs that ensure lived and living experiences workforces employed in mental health and alcohol and drug services are valued, supported and enabled to thrive. This includes:

- developing policies and frameworks for employers of lived and living experience workforces
- co-production and implementation of strategies to promote and grow lived and living experience workforces
- coordination, commissioning and contract management of a program of lived and living experience workforce initiatives
- implementation of co-designed evaluation framework across the program.
- supporting strong relationships between the Division, lived and living experience peak bodies, training and development providers and other partners with a role in supporting lived and living experience workforces
- supporting and co-ordinating a range of advisory structures to facilitate lived and living experience perspectives into workforce policy and programs

Accountabilities
- Provide authoritative advice to Mental Health and Wellbeing Division on issues and opportunities related to lived and living experience workforces
- Support the cultural shift and practices to ensure lived and living experiences workforces are valued, supported and enabled.
- Ensure contemporary approaches to partnership with people with lived experience (consumer, family and carer, and AOD) and lived and living experience workforces and their employing agencies.
- Support the design and implementation of Royal Commission recommendations related to lived and living experience workforces in partnership with project leads across the Division, including through participation in governance and advisory structures
- Lead or contribute to the preparation of briefing documents for Ministerial or Departmental staff
- Collaborate with key partners (including, but not limited to, the Victorian Mental Illness Awareness Council (VMIAC), Tandem, the Centre for Psychiatric Nursing, Mental Health Victoria, the Centre for Mental Health Learning, Harm Reduction Victoria and the Self-Help Addiction Resource Centre, regarding activities that have relevance to lived and living experience workforces.
- Represent the department on key stakeholder committees and groups concerned with achieving government and departmental objectives and contribute to relevant committee and governance processes.
- Support associated research and analysis of emerging issues and opportunities for lived and living experience workforces.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services
