Payroll Team Leader Brisbane, West End

**The Opportunity**:
An exciting opportunity to join the Fitness & Lifestyle Group (FLG) People & Culture team, as our Payroll Team Leader.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager, People & Culture, the Payroll Team Lead is the senior conduit between the FLG business, the payroll team and the business's outsourced provider, ADP. They are responsible for the integrity of the data supplied to ADP for processing and they are also the main contact point for escalated payroll queries. In this hands-on roll, the Payroll Team Leader takes additional responsibility for overseeing a team of two highly experienced and capable Payroll Coordinators, ensuring they provide a high level of service to team members, and internal and external stakeholders.

**Key duties and responsibilities will include**:

- Ensure the maintenance of the payroll master files is completed in line with ADP schedules for all FLG pay run processes - fortnightly and monthly across all employing entities
- Ensure the accurate payment of wages in lie with the relevant EAs and Awards
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of changes and terminations
- Hands-on processing of pay runs
- Ensure all processes, policies and procedures are adhered to in accordance with ADP, internal procedures and legislative requirements
- Support the Payroll team by responding to payroll inquiries and resolving any identified payroll discrepancies
- Ensure the team proactively manages the external forms and processes required (Centrelink, child support, separation certificates etc.) within the required timeframes
- Ensure the electronic filing of all payroll information is up-to-date and accurate
- Upskill, coach and mentor Payroll Coordinators to ensure their roles remain engaging and challenging

**To be successful in this role you will need**:

- Previous payroll experience in a medium-sized business within Australia/New Zealand
- Experience within a high-volume, multi-site business with multiple pay entities
- Highly developed knowledge of End of Year payroll processes
- Leadership experience with the ability to coach and mentor
- Previous experience with people systems - preferably Kronos (Workforce Central / Workforce Ready and ADP Payforce
- Demonstrated knowledge of taxation, superannuation and deductions
- Strong understanding of legislative requirements relating to payroll in AUS and NZ
