**About the Role**
The **Clinical Educators** will lead and train occupational therapists and social workers who are new to mental health and/or early in their career. The clinical educators will work alongside these clinicians mentoring and developing the mental health skills needed for their roles and in the team context in which they work. Clinical educators will be recognised clinical specialists (in child and youth, adult or older persons mental health care) and will play a vital role in leading and developing our workforce.
**About You**
You have demonstrated clinical expertise delivering occupational therapy or social work assessments and interventions in mental health care. You enjoy developing others, are highly organised and a clear and warm communicator. You have been developing your leadership and project management skills and are ready to implement a new initiative within the mental health program to benefit consumers, their families and carers. You lead by example, thrive in a fast paced environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of evidence based interventions. You Are:
- a proven leader committed to developing skills in others
- able to manage projects efficiently and effectively
- enthusiastic, compassionate and able to work collaboratively
- excited to be accountable for and manage specific portfolios in our relentless pursuit of excellence
**What You Need**:
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent
- Current general registration with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Occupational Therapy, with no restrictions
- Demonstrated Occupational Therapy and mental health experience (normally seven years)
**OR**
- Bachelor or Master of Social Work or equivalent as assessed and approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers
- Demonstrated mental health and social work experience (normally seven years of social work experience)
- Qualification in education, leadership or relevant postgraduate qualification is highly regarded
- Victorian Driver's Licence
- Australian working rights
