**This opportunity**

The Architecture Lead has architectural responsibility for a nominated domain or set of domains within the broader IT technology context (e.g., ERP, Data & Workplace etc, as specified).

You will lead a team of Solution Architects working on initiatives either within or impacting the domain, including cross-domain initiatives. You will have people management responsibilities for team members and will be accountable for the quality of architecture work from the team.

In your role as domain lead, you will be accountable for architecture within the domain, including solution governance and alignment with the broader technology strategy. You’ll be the senior architecture representative from the domain in interactions with relevant business and technology stakeholders. Through your oversight of the team and the domain, you will be a key contributor towards achieving both business goals and advancing the IT & Digital architecture and strategy.

**Responsibilities**
- ** Team leadership**:

- Communication, mentoring and continuous improvement of the architecture practice of the team.
- Allocation of architecture work and monitoring of capacity and efficiencies.
- Goal setting and career development with team members.
- ** Domain Architecture**:

- Define and maintain the architectural target state for the domain.
- Maintain strong relationships with key technology and business stakeholders of the IT domain, serving as the liaison point and ensuring alignment of architecture with delivery and business objectives.
- Providing input into annual and long-range or strategic planning exercise.
- ** Solution Architecture**:

- Lead the development of the architecture solution where required and/or support Principal and Solution Architects with the development of the architecture solution.
- Monitor quality of solution architecture deliverables.
- Ensure the architecture solution is communicated to technology and business stakeholders
- Take accountability for alignment of the solution architecture with the architecture governance and technology strategy forums via liaison with relevant stakeholders.

**Knowledge and experience**
- 7+ years’ experience in senior architect role with 2+ years’ experience in leading a team.
- Solid Experience in cloud services (e.g Oracle Cloud) development.
- Experience in architecture patterns and frameworks, such as SOA, TM Forum, TOGAF, UML, ArchiMate highly desirable
- Experience in conceptualizing, launching, and driving business and product architecture and confidently being able to influence multi-year roadmaps
- Proven ability to lead teams (including Virtual Teams) and under different delivery methodologies (waterfall or agile).
- Ability to bridge between high level and at a detailed level to drive the right decisions for the business.
- Ability to lead in challenging situations and manage ambiguity.
- Strong leadership skill including ability to manage cross functionally, energise others and drive teams to goal attainment.
- Good stakeholder management and a clear communicator.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Tertiary or equivalent qualifications in Computer/Electrical Engineering and/or equivalent.
