The Youth Justice Division for the Department of Justice and Community Safety is hiring a Business Trainees to support in an administrative capacity while also leaning vital administration skills

The Youth Justice Division in the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) is responsible for the statutory supervision of children and young people in contact with the justice system in Victoria. Children and young people who are involved in Youth Justice are either supervised in the community, or within Youth Justice custodial facilities. Youth Justice works with these children and young people to address the underlying causes of their offending behaviour and help them to achieve positive change in their lives.

**About the Role**:
The position is responsible for performing a range of administrative tasks to support The Youth Justice Division. The duties for this role include but are not limited to:

- Complete general administrative functions such as data processing and filling, office administration, secretariat functions (e.g., minute taking) and assisting with meeting organisation
- Assist and provide support to staff on various tasks and projects
- Create and maintain various records and correspondence—both manual and electronic
- General word processing and data entry
- Liaise with people at all levels, both within and outside of the Department
- Other duties as required
