**About the role**:
We are currently looking for an experienced disability support worker for our clients in Narre Warren.
Your responsibilities as a disability support worker will be to provide in home support and community participation for our NDIS clients. Our clients require services including assisting with self-care activities, complex care, household tasks, meal preparation, community participation, personal care and transport.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Provide full assistance with personal care and complex care
- Assisting and supporting clients with their mobility
- Supporting clients in achieving their needs and goals
- Providing true and authentic companionship to the clients
- Household tasks and meal preparation
- Building on individual strengths and enabling participants to reach their goals
- Accompanying clients to shopping and appointments
- Skill development activities with the participants in their home
- Supporting clients with community and social activities
- Identify potential and actual risks, report and act promptly
- Support participant to express views, raise concerns, report complaints and incidents
- Identify and report any work health and safety issues
**Qualifications/Requirements**:
- Current Police
- Valid Australian Driver's License
- Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or willing to obtain)
- Administration of medication training (or willing to obtain)
- Certificate III Individual Support / Community Services or Certificate IV Disability or other relevant qualifications or experience
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in providing disability supports
- First Aid Certificate
**Skills**:
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with various ages, cultures and ability levels
- Ability to build rapport and trust with clients
- Strong time management and ability to prioritise
- Ability to use Microsoft Office suite of programs and other computer systems for record-keeping.
- Excellent problem solving and conflict management skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain good working relationships

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
