**About the role**:
As a Porter Team Leader you will play a key supervisory role in managing a team of hospital porters who are responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient movement of patients and patient equipment throughout the hospital.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Manage day to day operations for the patient transport team, including staffing and maintaining KPIs
- Lead the team via responsibilities such as supervision and staff appraisals
- Assist with patient transport
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks within a designated timeframe
- Be passionate, engaging and focused on providing exceptional customer service and sensitivity to patients
- Effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Take initiative in the role and create a space for team growth and professional development
- Attend hospital meetings as required, representing the portering team
- Enjoys being active and having a hands-on role within the team

Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital is owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care, a global operator of private hospitals and primary care clinics with over 70 Australian sites employing over 34,000 people. We are a 94-bed rehabilitation hospital, providing therapy 7 days a week to those who have undergone surgery, accident or medical events. The porter service is an integral part of the this patient care we provide.

**Requirements**:

- _Must _provide a_ _**National Police Check** conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a **Working-With-Children** check and **proof of immunisation** against infectious diseases.
