**Engineering Manager - Injection Moulding**

**Pipemakers Australia** is a leading manufacturer and supplier of PVC and PE piping to the construction, mining and building industries.

In this role you will be responsible for the plastic injection moulding, tooling and ancillary equipment. The incumbent is also to supervise all Moulding activities, through effective leadership of indirect reports, meeting performance and quality targets to maximize production outputs and minimize scrap. With a strong focus on safety, quality, uptime and preventative maintenance.
- **Key duties and responsibilities**:_
- Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to help others
- Prepare and implement a preventative maintenance plan that will see an increase in plant availability and a decrease in down time
- Supervise engineering activities to ensure that adherence to company EH&S policies and procedures
- Manage engineering/maintenance tasks to ensure the best use of labour and facilities, while minimise downtime, maximising plant availability
- Provide accurate daily communication with Production Manager/Manufacturing Manager
- Monitor, report and problem solve machine utilisation and optimisation
- Lead the moulding team to deliver high quality products
- Implementing continuous improvement within the engineering/maintenance area
- **Skills and experience**:_
- Electrical or Mechanical Qualifications (Essential)
- Post trade qualifications in management/ reliability/ planning/ condition monitoring (preferred)
- Possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience in injection moulding/tool making within an industrial environment
- Previous experience in a management role (Essential)
- Ability to multi-task in a quick setting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills within a collaborative team working environment
- Sound computer literacy skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

This is a fantastic opportunity with a remuneration package of $70,000 to $80,000 + Super. You must have an unrestricted Australian work permit.
