**Job Description: (Sleepovers 3 times per week)**
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced **Female**Disability Support Worker (**participant's choice**) with a strong background in managing behaviors of concern to join our dynamic team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality support to individuals with disabilities, fostering their independence, and promoting their well-being.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in various settings, including their homes, community centers, and educational institutions.
- Assist clients with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores, while promoting independence and dignity.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each client.
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to address and de-escalate challenging behaviors, ensuring the safety and well-being of both clients and support staff.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, their families, and other support professionals to ensure holistic and collaborative care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of client progress, incidents, and support provided, in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in disability support and behavior management.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working as a Disability Support Worker or in a related role, preferably with a focus on behavior management.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors in a calm and respectful manner, utilizing evidence-based techniques and strategies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with individuals with disabilities and their families.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach towards supporting individuals with disabilities, recognizing their unique strengths and challenges.
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or a relevant qualification is highly desirable.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred).
