**About the Role**

A great opportunity now exists for an Employee Relations specialist to join the team as the **Employee Relations Lead** within the **City of Greater Dandenong.**

The **Employee Relations Lead** is an important role, reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, delivering expert support, advice and solutions to achieve successful outcomes for the organisation.

**About You**

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- A deep understanding of the employment legislation framework and advocacy experience in various industrial tribunals and/or the Fair Work Commission.
- A proven track record in complex case management and mentoring other P&C Team members in the management and resolution of various cases.
- Experience in the negotiation of Enterprise Agreements from preparation right through to implementation.
- Extensive experience in the development and review of various best practice policies and procedures.
- Proven experience in managing various change initiatives (including organisational restructures)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

**Relevant skills, knowledge and experience should include**:

- A willingness and ability to mentor, coach and develop members of the P&C Team and broader organistion in the management and progression of various employment related matters.
- Proven high level conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem solving-skills within an Industrial/Employee Relations context.
- Demonstrated success in the development of an ER strategy and framework that promotes a positive workplace culture.
- Extensive experience in the management and resolution of complex industrial/employment matters including hands on end-to-end case management advice and resolution
- A critical thinker, with an action orientated mindset in delivering proactive outcomes in an agile environment.
- A tertiary qualification in either Employment Law, Human Resource Management or related discipline, along with substantial specialist ER experience in a complex organisational setting is required.
- Adept at thriving in fast-paced environments, both independently and as part of a team, you will have the drive and motivation to make a real difference.

This is a full-time position and hybrid work options are available.

You may be required to undertake practical testing, work preference profiling / psychometric testing, functional capacity assessment (physical) or aptitude testing.
