Exciting Opportunity within the Manufacturing Industry

**Your new company**
Established nationally, our client has been in business for more than 30 years within the manufacturing industry. As they have made significant difference within this space and with continuous growth has now led to an opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join their team South of Adelaide, you will report to the Group Financial Controller.

**Your new role**
- Accounting for long term customer contracts (revenue and cost recognition).
- Processing intercompany recharges, cost allocations and royalty fees
- Accounting for employee leave entitlements and payroll related accruals
- Processing month end journals and workpapers
- Preparing customer rebate calculations
- Updating exchange rates in the ERP and processing month end currency revaluations
- Eliminating intercompany transactions and month end balances
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and manage balance sheet accounts to ensure full understanding of amounts held on the balance sheet.
- Review inventory on hand and assess provisions for slow moving and obsolete stock.
- Help prepare and improve monthly management and Advisory Board reporting packs, including focus on key drivers and variance analysis
- Monitor and investigate actual to budget variances; recommend and drive remedial action in conjunction with the management team.
- Conduct regular P&L reviews with budget owners.
- Assist with the preparation and consolidation of Group budgets and forecasts
- Assist with maintaining cash flow forecasts.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- CA or CPA qualified with 3 to 5 years’ financial accounting and reporting experience
- Have a solid understanding of accounting standards, financial systems, and processes.
- Have experience using an ERP system
- Have experience in project accounting
- Enjoy working autonomously, be pro-active and take initiative.
- Have great interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
- Ability to manage your time and prioritise your workload.
- Ability to work in a discreet manner, always maintaining confidentiality
