Spruced is leading the way in Christmas tree and rare conifer production in Australia and our nurseries supply most of the relatively young industry country-wide. A horticultural supervisor role is on offer within our expanding Black Springs Production Nursery, leading a small team to expand operations, streamline processes and achieve production targets. We are growing a range of highly specialised conifers that can be difficult to cultivate and require a keen eye for detail and the ability to problem solve creatively. The business is growing rapidly and there are many long term opportunities in this fast-growing new sector where demand far exceeds supply.

We are seeking an experienced horticulturalist to support daily activities associated with conifer seedling and potted Christmas tree production

Essential Qualifications and Experience.
- Car licence and own transport
- Tertiary qualifications in Horticulture or related discipline or industry experience
- Minimum 1 year experience in Nursery, Horticultural or related industry
- Tractor/machinery operation and maintenance experience

Desirable qualifications and experience (or willingness to obtain).
- Chemical Card
- First Aid Certification
- LR, MR, HR licence
- Chainsaw ticket
- Forklift ticket
- 4WD experience
- Adept at MS office suite. Data management

Key attributes:

- Strong communication and data collection skills with which to regularly report to management
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Meets performance targets and demonstrates competence in assigned tasks
- Demonstrates good work ethic and ability to collaborate with and lead a small work team
- Ability to self-manage and work independently at times
- Willingness to occasionally travel to and be a part of seed harvesting operations, new site establishment operations and to assist at market stalls around NSW.
- Skill in propagation, irrigation and operating specialist nursery plant and machinery.

Opportunities to progress exist and the right person will be given the opportunity to take on a more extensive management role on one of our nursery sites in the long term.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
