**The Opportunity**

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a key role in the development of nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.

We are looking for a Manager Digital Engineering to join our Major Projects team supporting our Powering Tomorrow Together (PTT) program. This program is focused on achieving cost benefits through overall program acceleration across our Major Project portfolio. To deliver this commitment, PTT provides economies of scale via a unique programmatic approach to contract partnerships to increase the certainty of access to supply chain, skilled resources, and reduced costs while driving innovation.

In this role you will have ownership of digital engineering framework and strategy and provide leadership and direction to the Digital Engineering (DE) team, enabling them to support project delivery, operations and management of the Transgrid Network. You will be involved in the development of target state Digital Engineering business operating model for Transgrid, based on enterprise architecture methodologies, that integrates Digital Engineering objectives, stakeholder requirements and associated business improvement initiatives over the full asset lifecycle.

**About You**:
**Academic Qualifications & Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum 15 years in relevant infrastructure project development and delivery.
- Preferred Master of Engineering or equivalent industry recognition.

**Work Experience & Skills**
- Formal training in computer science, hands-on experience in data governance, data architecture, data modelling, data science, database design and/or possibly even software engineering
- Proven analytical and strategic planning skills with an innovative approach to problem solving that is driven by outcomes.
- Highly developed written communication and computer literacy skills to compile and develop professional, technical and quality documentation of a complex nature.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the digital engineering state of play internationally, and nationally in particular the capabilities of energy infrastructure designers and contractors.
- Demonstrated experience introducing and managing digital engineering in the infrastructure sector, between clients, design teams, delivery teams and other stakeholders (e.g. independent reviewers and asset owners).
- Demonstrated experience and success in driving collaboration and implementation of organisational change towards digital engineering, and the adoption of digital processes at all levels of an organisation.
- A demonstrated ability to lead and motivate individuals to drive a high achieving and growth culture that delivers outstanding outcomes. With the interpersonal skills to influence change and build productive relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- Considerable and demonstrated experience in the establishment, management and administration of a project-wide digital engineering environment for major infrastructure project incorporating a common data environment, an electronic data management system, GIS and interfaces to other project wide systems.
- Demonstrated experience in the establishment and management of digital engineering processes for the management of information and modelling from commencement (site investigations) through to published data (including design review) utilising best practice digital workflows and automation.
- Demonstrated experience in information model production (federated models) throughout the project life cycle.
- Demonstrated experience in asset information model production with embedded or linked data to satisfy the operational and maintenance information requirements to support a digital asset management system.
- Demonstrated experience in defining Infrastructure Operator operations and maintenance asset information (data) required to support a digital asset management system.
- Demonstrated experience in information security controls and procedures within a project wide digital environment to ensure compliance with security requirements of the State and/or third parties.
- Demonstrated experience in the establishment of relevant IT infrastructure (including software platforms) and system architecture for a project-wide, digital engineering environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the drafting of digital engineering contract requirements for a major infrastructure project.
