**The Opportunity**

Partnered with our host **Clarke Constructions**, we are looking for a Carpentry Apprentice who is looking to get their hands on the tools, while completing a **CPC30211 Certificate III in Carpentry.**

This position is also open to fantastic 2nd, 3rd and 4th year apprentices with relevant work experience in carpentry or have a trade college background.

This position is full-time and the head office is based in Bowen Hills.

**The Host**

Clarke Constructions is a privately owned construction company with over 20 years of experience and a reputation for excellence. Through their established building team, they offer both the ability and experience to solve client concerns and deliver results with speed, courtesy and technical efficiency.

You will be mentored by industry professionals whilst completing a blend of on-the-job training and theory coursework and working all over the Brisbane region. Your duties will include, but is not limited to:

- Assisting with the construction of various pre-cast concrete products, including panels, bridge beams, structural foundations, floor slabs and retaining walls
- Assembly and dismantling of formwork
- Reading plans and technical drawings
- Working from measurements
- Using carpentry tools and equipment
- Handling carpentry materials

**About You**

You must have excellent communication skills, and be ready and willing to undertake physical work in an indoor and outdoor setting. You will be willing to travel, work in the hot sun, and not afraid of working heights. You will also be exposed to new renovations and old renovations.

In addition to these qualities, you will:

- Have completed a minimum of year 10 with good results in English and Mathematics
- Have a driver's licence
- Have a Construction Induction Card (or be willing to get one)
- Be safety-minded
- Be well presented
- Have excellent listening skills and able to follow instructions
- Work safely
