**Marine Education Officer**
**$25.02 per hour Part-Time**
**$31.28 per hour Casual**
**Sea World, Main Beach, Gold Coast**

**About the role**:
Provide a positive and fun learning experience for students and park guests by facilitating educational programs and guest interactions throughout Sea World.
You will also undertake associated administrative tasks as well as care for animals within the Shark Bay/Ray Reef exhibits.

**Duties**:

- Facilitate educational programs for all visiting students and provide park guests with an educational learning experience while interacting with the animals on display at Sea World
- Perform educational/host roles in Animal Adventure programs such as Glass Bottom Boat tours, Polar Bear tours and Ray Reef feeds
- Provide care for all intertidal, touch pool and Ray Reef animals, reporting all abnormalities to ensure a high standard of welfare
- Respond to communication from students and members of the public on issues of relevance to the marine environment and Sea World

**Skills and Experience**:

- Teaching qualification is preferred
- Recreational ship masters licence essential
- Knowledge of the marine environment and conservation issues within the marine environment is preferred
- Public speaking experience is essential
