**The role**:
Infrastructure Technology Solutions requires a skilled and experienced Alcatel Unified Communications Engineer to develop Enterprise Alcatel Solution architecture and designs for our program of Major and Minor works across the state. The role will see you collaborate with Hospital and Health Services, project and operational teams and our vendors to develop these solutions. The role will involve hands-on remote and on-site investigation and system interrogation, plus some hands-on configuration as project needs dictate.

**You will**:

- manage and undertake the design, planning and implementation of technical solutions for voice / telephony / unified communications ensuring alignment with best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks.
- work with and mentor a small team of ICT specialists to deliver solutions within Queensland.
- lead the assessment, analysis, development, documentation and implementation planning of complex IM/ICT changes, including the evaluation of risks to the integrity of infrastructure inherent in proposed implementations.

Are you right for this role?
To be successful in this role you will have Experience in the design, publication, implementation, compliance and delivery of technical solutions to industry best practice frameworks for large scale, complex IM/ICT program/project(s), preferably in the health care industry. (SFIA Skill: ITMG: Level 5, HSIN: Level 4)

Experience in designing ICT solutions across multiple sites and scales providing expert knowledge in relevant design standards, techniques and methods and tools for large scale complex organisations. (SFIA Skill: DESN: Level 4, METL: 5)

You will also have well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing, Collaborative working). With Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary project team. (NHS: Leading change through people)

An in-depth knowledge of Alcatel (unified / voice) communications solutions in complex enterprise environments is required for this role. Additional experience in either Cisco Unified Communications, Paging and messaging systems and / or solutions will be highly regarded.
