**Your new company**
One of our more central City Councils are seeking a Coordinator Communications and Management to supervise the Corporate Communications Team. This diligent team are responsible for the production for content creation, social media posts, event or activity planning, general communications and internal budget management. Be apart of this proactive Council that are focused on constantly upskilling, educating and advocating for their community.

**Your new role**
You will be the lead in planning, assigning and managing the daily activities and workflow of the communications and marketing team. Your day-to-day will be very on the go and involve you being responsible that the department is proactively developing and implementing the Council communications strategy.

Your duties will include:

- Provide specialist advice to important internal and external stakeholders
- Establish and enforce Council's Media and Issues Management Policy
- Oversee Council's graphic design
- Develop complex and strategic communications strategies
- Coach and develop team members
- Provide guidance and support to team members
- Being flexible as required to work evening and weekends depending on the marketing management

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Have a high level of experience leading a team
- Proven ability to implement systems, technology and policies
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate strong investigative, analytical and strategic thinking capability
- Demonstrate strong management of people skills
- Bachelor Degree or higher in communications, public relations, media studies or other relevant disciplines
- 7+ years of work experience in the areas of public relations or communications
- Experience in budget management in a communications environment
- Willing to work evenings or weekends where required
- Valid and recent National Police Check
- Valid Victorian issued Driver's Licence
- Working with Children Check
