**Company Overview**:
Our client, a financial services firm are seeking a skilled PMO Analyst in Finance to join a dynamic team. This role will involve collaborating with a diverse portfolio of leaders and supporting them in financial forecasting, reporting, and managing the annual budget for investment initiatives. This is a 12-month contract position based in Sydney, offering a hybrid working arrangement.
**Position Summary**:
As a PMO Analyst - Finance, you will play a vital role in liaising with the portfolio of leaders and assisting them in various financial aspects of investment initiatives. By providing expertise in financial forecasting, reporting, and budgeting, you will ensure our projects are aligned with strategic goals and delivered successfully. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively across teams and contribute to the growth and success of the organization.
**Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate closely with project leaders and stakeholders to develop accurate financial forecasts, reports, and budgets for investment initiatives.
- Analyse financial data, identify key insights, and provide actionable recommendations to support strategic decision-making processes.
- Conduct regular variance analysis to track deviations from budgeted financials and implement mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project costs, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial performance.
- Streamline financial processes and identify opportunities for process improvement, implementing best practices within the PMO.
- Support project leaders by providing financial insights, ad-hoc analysis, and comprehensive reporting as required.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a PMO Analyst or similar role within the financial services industry.
- Strong financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data effectively.
- Proficiency in financial forecasting, reporting, and budgeting processes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at various levels.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
