About the Role
We are currently looking for experienced Electrical Engineering Technicians to join our AGL Macquarie team in Muswellbrook, NSW. You will be a key member of the team responsible for the maintenance and repair of all controls, instrumentation and monitoring systems along with providing specialist technical maintenance skills and operational advice and expertise.
This permanent, site-based role will be working day work and or shift work as required.
What you’ll be doing:
- An Electrical Engineering Technician is responsible for maintaining the correct operational performance and providing priority breakdown maintenance of control, instrumentation, and monitoring systems.- Keep technical drawings up-to-date and reflect changes or modifications correctly- Investigate short
- and long-term plant defects, develop, implement and maintain control system software modifications, including documentation and design, document, install and commission control and instrumentation projects- Ensure Risk Assessments and workplace observations are conducted and documented, hazards and incidents are reported, and corrective action implemented or followed up with responsible persons as necessary
About You
A team player, committed to safe and high-quality work you will perform key maintenance tasks to ensure optimal operational performance and provide priority breakdown and critical repair work of all control, instrumentation, and monitoring systems across our plant.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- An Electrical Trade Certificate and License (NSW) and relevant practical, industrial experience- Advanced Diploma Electrical Engineering is preferred however a minimum of Diploma completed with commitment to continued study- A high standard of safety and environmental performance along with an understanding of WHS legislation and responsibilities- An understanding of plant, equipment, materials, and maintenance methods applicable to a coal-fired power station or equivalent heavy industry experience- Ability to work both within a small work team and independently- Proven fault finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills, particularly in relation to complex plant control systems- The ability to repair instrumentation and control devices- Highly desirable that you have experience with Siemen’s T3000
